About

The totally necessary about section. What makes us tick, what keeps the site running, why it’s even here, and reasons why you should give us your money.

The Car Search Blog, or TCSB for those who are acronymically inclined, is alive because some of today’s top Web designers needed a place to drool and bitch about their motor vehicle obsessions. We won’t always talk about cars of course. Sometimes we will talk about trucks.

Comments are always on because TCSB isn’t just a soap box; it’s a soap box in the middle of a public square with a lot of people yelling, “Shut up,” and “No, you shut up!” We hope the conversations are a bit more civil than that of course. Comments are moderated, mostly by the article’s author, so feel free to be challenging, but don’t undermine. Yes, there is a difference. One gives us the opportunity to improve, the other just pisses us off.

Updating
The Shortlinks section on the right is updated all the time, day and night, weekend or holiday, so your best bet is to subscribe to the RSS feed. Main articles are updated 2-3 times per week, which is opposite of some other car weblogs. Why are we different? Because we’re emphasizing quality over quantity, visible authors over semi-anonymous authors, and discussion over one-way broadcasting. We’re merging car magazine, weblog, and car forum to give you guys a new way to voice your automotive opinions.

Colophonic Argle-Bargle
The site was designed by the Kaiserdealxa.com team. It is heavily hacked together using CSS, XHTML, PHP, and some duct tape, and easily took 10+ years to produce. I kid. This site is (mostly) valid and pretty accessible, and if you like it then check out what else we can do. If you don’t like it, then, still check us out.

And now that you know kinda how we made it, remember: steal it and die. We don’t take kindly to theft of our design elements or intellectual property. Yeah, we know words like that. We love to inspire. If you want to know just how we did something, ask. If you want to borrow some code to learn from, but then move on to your own creation, go for it. But for the love of Pete, don’t take without asking. We will find out. Really.

If you have author-specific questions, feel free to get in touch with that specific writer on our People page. We’re really friendly.
